The World

So it has been over a year since I looked at my apartment on Google Earth. Earlier tonight I had been trying to look at Skellig Michael--no good picture available--, and before quitting tonight I thought I'd check out my crib via satellite. When I found my building I noticed the photograph looked different than the one I remembered. I checked the copyright date it and turns out that it was dated 2008. This caused me to inspect further and it indeed was a new photo because you can see my volvo: View Larger Map This discovery made me check out my parents house in Maine hoping my car could be sighted in two places at once. Well, it turns out copyright date is no indication of photograph date because shot of my parents house is also dated 2008 but it seems to be a photo of the "Miss Blue" era.

So I was up late for some silly reason working on a blog post to update the world on my most recent week of music when I noticed that Rob Hoff (my first facebook friend I have never met in reality*) had posted something to my Fun Wall. Before bed I thought I'd see what it was. It was a video promoting Peace Day and encouraging viewers to make a pledge to themselves to take action on a personal level to contribute to this important day. I will admit that I feel pretty lame for not knowing about the unanimous decision in The United Nations to create a calendar day for peace. Now I know and so do you.

I thought this was important enough to warrant a new post category. *Rob friended me after I had joined the Monk facebook group last month.  It was this group that lead to this blog post.
